On May 18-19 SYNCHRO SPACE team visited the Green Trail that runs through the entire region of Rivne, Ukraine. Together with the embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Kyiv and WorldStartup, the Growing Green Cities Lab is kicking off.

The Green Trail is an important project to improve the ecology and tourism in the Rivne region, as the Ustya River flows along with it, there is a reservoir, lakes, and canals that need to be cleaned. Additionally, water management needs to be improved for safe usage.

After a meeting with the governor of the region and his team, the SYNCHRO SPACE team began exploring the area by visiting the park of historical reconstruction Horodysche Ostvytsia. They had the opportunity to talk to the initiator of this project Yuriy Oytsyus. Yuri is one of the founders of the Green Trail in Rivne. He talked about the specifics of the study of the territory and the concept of the Green Trail. The Rivne region is currently finalizing a strategy for the development of cycling infrastructure throughout the region where the Green Trail plays an important role.

Interaction with local initiators in the city is very inspiring and productive. Because their knowledge and expertise are very local and unique. To get a closer look at the environment of the region and its specialties, the SYNCHRO SPACE team connected to the representatives from the National University of Water Management and Nature Management. With the university's knowledge base and help from the Zdolbunov Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport, we believe that the project information base became complete. This will allow the whole team to be more proficient in the problem and be able to find a better problem-solution fit among startups.

Протягом візиту до Рівного 18-19 травня команда СИНХРО ПРОСТІР відвідала Зелену стежку, яка проходить через всю Рівненську область. Саме для цього проекту будуть розроблені інноваційні рішення для розвитку велоінфраструктури та очищення водойм у рамках нашої спільної з платформою WorldStartup програми «СИНХРО ПРОСТІР Рівне — Лабораторія зелених міст» за підтримки Посольство Королівства Нідерландів У Києві. Зелена стежка — важливий проект для покращення екології та туризму на Рівненщині, адже уздовж неї протікає річка Устя, розташоване водосховище, озера та канали, що потребують очищення та розвитку водної інфраструктури.

Після робочої зустрічі із губернатором області та його командою, ми почали дослідження території з відвідання парку історичної реконструкції Городище Оствиця. Більше того, ми мали нагоду поспілкуватися з ініціатором цього проекту Юрій Ойцюсь. Юрій також є одним з засновників проекту Зелена стежка Рівного. Він розповів нам про специфіку дослідження території та концепцію Зеленої стежки. Зокрема, на Рівненщині наразі розробляється стратегія з розвитку велоінфраструктури всієї області, а Зелена стежка, у свою чергу, відіграє важливу роль у цій стратегії.

Для впровадження інновацій в містах та громадах дуже важлива взаємодія з місцевими ініціаторами змін, освітніми та дослідницькими інституціями, адже їхня експертиза та знання проблематики і локальної специфіки дозволить нам спільними зусиллями втілити найбільш оптимальні, дієві та корисні інновації! Ми залучаємо до співпраці представників Національний університет водного господарства та природокористування, а також Здолбунівське ВПУЗТ, щоб разом працювати над сталим розвитком Рівненської області.
